Randy's sister, Linda, lives in Cave Creek AZ with her husband Jacob Van der Stad and their son Jacob Van der Stad IV, their pug- Yoda, and their cat- Flower. In November, Randy visited them for a weekend. Erik Kearon, Linda's older son, also joined the family for the weekend. Erik and his partner Julie, have a 2 year old daughter, Shelby Lee, and they live in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
We chose the first weekend of November for the visit in order to coincide with Jake's High School Home Coming Football Game. Jake plays quarterback for the Cave Creek team. Although Jake's team lost, everyone agrees that his football prowess is exceptional and he is both a god football player and an excellent student.

Yoda made sure I had lots of "dog time" so I wouldn't miss Darwin too much! He was my pal for the whole weekend.
Since I am allergic to cats, I didn't get a chance to hang out much with 16 year old Flower.
