My Dads took me to Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California for a weekend getaway. We had a great time. Lake Tahoe is at an elevation of 6,200 feet and my dads got a little winded- but of course anyone would if they try and keep up with me. We relaxed, went hiking and I even went wading in Fallen Leaf Lake which is nearby and was at the end of one of the trails that we took. Hope you like the pictures.
This is a view of the Lake Tahoe Basin from a lookout just past Echo Summit which is at 7,382 feet
This is the cabin where we stayed. That's my dad Lee hiding in the shadow
This is me inside the cabin
I had to roll around to make the cabin mine!!!
The Aspens turn bright yellow in the autumn and that''s me and my dad Randy in the shadow!

BOY THAT WATER IS COLD!
Here we are on the Hawley Grade Trail. It was all uphill and it was an altitude of about 7,000 feet! My dads told me that black bears were known to hang out around here! We didn't see any though!
